It's been a year since I gave you my thoughts on Windows 11. Now, one year later, I would like to revisit some of the points I made in that post.
I think the new glass theme looks pretty neat, although Windows Classic and Aero look better in my opinion
I haven't changed my mind on this; I still think the new theme and icon style is better than the flat Windows 10 garbage, and this is one of the few things that are good about Windows 11.
This build lacks the start menu tile ads which are present in Windows 10
Luckily, this has stayed the same, but I won't be surprised if they add some sort of built-in advertising in a future update.
While I initially thought Windows 11 would be better than Windows 10, it is now clear to me that it was another one of Microsoft's attempts to get people to "upgrade" to a newer and more locked-down product with more telemetry and data collection under the guise of "innovation" and "freshness".
