What's wrong with Macintosh Computers

I have never used an Apple computer in my life, not even once. They're very expensive where I live, and I have heard only bad things about them. Recently, a friend of mine bought a few new iMacs for his company because the ones he had were too old to run 3-D architectural planning software. He didn't have time to sell the old ones, so he gave them to me.

I booted one up, a loud sound played and I was greeted with a dumbed-down setup wizard where I had to enter my username, password, and adjust other settings. After the wizard was done setting up the operating system, I restarted the iMac and booted into OS X. The GUI was rather ugly and unpleasant to look at. Soon I learned that it was an x86-based 2008 iMac 8,1. The fact that it had an 80x86 CPU really surprised, because I thought those omputers came with PPC-based processors, but after reading about it on the WWW, I found out that most Macintosh computers manufactured after 2006 are x86 or x86_64-based.

The OS was very hard to use, and the UI was quite ugly. At first, I thought that I would because able to change the theme, but, of course, as I later found out, there is no easy way to change to look of the UI without breaking other parts of the system. The file manager (called Finder) doesn't support entering file paths, and the only directories it can navigate to are the 'Desktop', 'Documents', 'Videos', etc. directories.

I noticed that the aluminum case of the iMac got really hot, and I couldn't hear any fans running inside, then, with a few obstacles I managed to install Debian GNU/Linux on it. I also installed a program that adjusts the speed of the fan to the temperature of the CPU... [THE REST OF THE ARTICLE WILL BE ADDED SOON]
